Hi,

Presently the garden makeover website is not up and running. However, garden work and house work will hopefully happen in tandem over the spring and summer months when I do not want to be trapped in doors wiring amd plastering all the time. I Plan to ge the website into action come the spring to log the project.

The garden is about a third of an acre, so it's quite a big garden, but not quite 'land'. It's a mess. Brambles, weeds, bindweed run rampant and I have trashed what was a lawn during the building of my large extension.

 Overall plans include:

  • Major landscaping. Already I estimate I have shifted over 50 tonnes of soil
  • Laying of a large patio using natural flagstones
  • Laying of long and windy brick paths
  • Altering the rear of my workshop roof to create a sprocket roof. I will then build an oak veranda to run the entire length of the workshop. (My wife and I call them cloisters, but that may be overly grand)
  • Installation of water and electricity services
  • Creation of a veg plot and associated veg beds
  • Building a new brick shed
  • Building a summerhouse
  • Building a large Pizza Oven
  • Pond / Bog Garden
  • Pergola
  • And lots of planting of shrubs, tress and borders. As it's my wife that knows her Ranunculus from her Robinia, she will get credit for this.
  • To be continued...
