Starting the Groundwork

I had spent  considerable time on research and design. I had knocked our existing house around and made ourselves a temporary kitchen and shower room. I had even knocked down a whole chunk of our house - the single strorey extension.

As I was knocking down the single storey I had horrible thoughts   - "what if I can't do this or we find something unexpected when I start to dig the footings". Instead of adding to our existing house I may well have just buggered it up!

However, eventually, after all this time it did feel like a turning point. I was going to start the groundworks and do something constructive.

Fingers were well and truly crossed.
